Crab legs/ lobster on dream?

We are on a 7nt eastern Carib in feb on the dream. My dh and ds love crab legs and lobster??? Do you know if these are offered?? If so, when and where??

lobster tails will be offered on formal night but Have never seen crablegs on a cruise.

Agree with SteelerCruiser regarding the lobster on formal nights, but must say that I've seen crab legs on Disney ships - Magic.

Lobster is also available in the steakhouse, and also a turf and surf combination there with lobster and a steak of some kind. Crab cakes are available in the steakhouse as an appetizer, I think, and maybe in the main dining room as well, but not crab legs.

If they did, they would be as small as what they pass off as Shrimp Coctail. I've seen salad shrimp bigger than what they serve.

We love, love, love crablegs but doubt that we'll ever have them on a cruise. Happy with a couple of lobstertail, though.

Princess has them on the seafood buffet, nice big ones!! Also alaskan king crab in the dining room 1 night:)

My only food memory from a cruise on the SSNorway in the 80's is of the most delicious crab legs. My one and only cruise with crab legs.

If they did, they would be as small as what they pass off as Shrimp Coctail. I've seen salad shrimp bigger than what they serve.

 

Funny you should say that as I noticed the lobsters are smaller the past couple of years. Could have sworn they were bigger (or was that just my imagination?!)

It's not your imagination. I read on here where they use to have Maine Lobster and now they get them from someplace else. They are a lot smaller.

Dont know where they come from but they do seem to be getting smaller and smaller.

Yes, thanks for the memories! Joe's Stone Crabs were served as an entree in the Supper Club on the new-build ships, can't remember if the Triumph was the first or if it was the Spirit/Pride time frame.

The tails in the MDR these days are Caribbean/Spiny lobster. The tails are much smaller than Maine lobster, and they're not as tasty.

 

I'd love to see Stone Crab on board, but that's so expensive I doubt it will ever happen.

IMO, the lobsters are nothing to get excited about. They are small and chewy - even the ones in the steakhouse. I had the surf and turf twice in the steakhouse and the lobster was tasty, but small.

Joe's Crab Shack and Joe's Stone Crab are two COMPLETELY different entities. Stone crab claws are very expensive and Joe's Stone Crab is an institution in Miami Beach and Joe's Crab Shack is a crappy chain restaurant.

I guess if the "downsizing" of the lobsters continue, they may end up being smaller than the shrimp!!

I would pay extra for crab legs!!!!!!! Hint maybe carnival could up grade there food with them!!!!!!!!!!!
