lbfluffy Posted December 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2013 What is the cost of this? And my husband had a lap band. He needs to eat slow. Will he feel rushed? Not sure if this something that he would like. Any input would be appreciated.

It takes about 3 hours for the entire meal. It is not rushed at all. One of the ones I went to actually took 4 hours, but that is longer than usual. CarnivalPlatCruiser Posted December 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 21, 2013 It will be a LOT more then he will be able to eat, but yes, it is a nice, slow meal. He will enjoy it :) Worth every penny.

I got the two on the Elation and booked the Valor in Sept. I would like to go on the Sunshine Apr 6th 11 night cruise but can't find anyone to go. The solo rate is about 1300. My next one is on 1/9 and I think I am booking one if February. I looked at Sunshine 11 night but it is more than I want to pay. I am going to watch and see if it goes down any. But by the time that happens the air will probably bee too expensive. Friends want me to go on one in May on the Breeze that I am thinking about. Lerin Posted December 22, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 22, 2013 It is $75 and quite a bit of food and drinks. After Lap Band I don't think it would be worth it. Somewhere on here is a thread where someone posted the menu and a photo of each dish. Try the search.
crusinpsychRN Posted December 22, 2013 #8 Share Posted December 22, 2013 I wouldn't pay $75 for Chef's Table after lap band. He'll be full on the appetizers in the galley. It does take a bit over 3 hours but the amount of food is insane.
shonuf Posted December 22, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 22, 2013 I had a partial gastrectomy in 2007 due to stomach cancer. I have to be careful not to eat too much at any time. That being said, I have done CT 3 times with #4 next month. I love the experience. Just tell him to pace himself, just a small taste of each item. I have let the Chef know in advance so he didn't worry that I didn't like the food, they want to make sure you have a good time.
HoneyBadger Posted December 23, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 23, 2013 If his band has a lot of fluid in it, he may want to loosen it up so he can fully enjoy the food. My wife has some taken out for the cruise. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
lbfluffy Posted December 23, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted December 23, 2013 I think I may forgo it. He has a tough time with the steakhouse, dessert always brought to our cabin because he is stuffed.
