gskimmel Posted December 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2013 Hi, I am thinking about booking a cruise with Windstar. Does anyone know anything about them? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
WithoutAHitch Posted February 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2014 We took one a few years ago on the Wind Surf and have another one coming up in April this year. Very nice ship, small and comfortable - informal. I'm pretty sure we were the only gay couple on the ship. The entire crew is very cordial, and we felt comfortable the entire time. There may have been one moment when a couple looked at us and the guy whispered something to his wife. Whatever. No different than home in Texas! wripro Posted March 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2014 Remember that in April Windstar takes possession of its first Seabourn ship. It has bought all three of the smaller older ships. This will give you the option of a sailing vessel or motor vessel.

RMS Olympic Posted March 2, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Sailed one of their ships years ago...the Wind Song that subsequently burned and became a reef. In the meantime I have sailed all three Star Clipper ships which I love. Now that Wind Star has been updated, I too am considering a cruise, on the Wind Surf. Will see what prices look like for March of next year. Too be honest I have no love for really big ships and this line fits the bill. PS...when I sailed the Wind Song.......loved it! BlindCreek Posted June 29, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2014 We sailed the smallest ship in the Windstar line last December (2013). There were a number of gay couples on board. This was our second time on a Windstar ship. We loved both.
