Dreamgirl1957 Posted December 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2013 Can anyone tell me if either pool on Arcadia has a shallow end? I like to swim but not very confident so like to be able to touch the bottom. We had originally booked on Aurora as it has shallow pools but since amended to Arcadia, on P&O's info page it says both of Arcadia's pools are 1.9 mts deep but on a couple of photos I've seen of the neptune pool it looks like people are standing in it at one end. On another photo where it looks half full there appears to be a wide ledge about a metre wide all round with the pool deeper in the middle but may have been an optical illusion . Can't seem to find anyone who knows this as most don't seem to use the pools.
jeanlyon Posted December 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2013 I think all pools on ships you can touch the bottom at all times. I am 5ft 7ins, but can stand easily in the pool on Oriana and I remember I could on Arcadia too. Enjoy!
Dreamgirl1957 Posted December 23, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Thanks, we've been on a few where the pools were so deep even very tall people couldn't touch the bottom anywhere, always seem so dangerous especially when children are aboard . That's cheered me up about Arcadia , thanks will be able to relax and have a swim
dsrdsrdsr Posted December 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 24, 2013 Both pools have a shallow and a deep end, but the middle pool (under the sliding roof) has a ledge at ther deep end as well. You can't stand up in the deep bit, except on the ledge. Both pools are quite narrow, though, so you can't be far from the edge.
