A thought I had was if you find a cruise you like. Go on the Roll Call for that cruise and ask about teens. You might get a idea of the number of teens that might be on that cruise. You really never know how many teens will be on any cruise. Richard

"Thank you this was the cruise looked at

Thank you this was the particular cruise we had in mind as had an interesting itinerary and we have avoided Asia in the past as we are not into resort based holidays and land travel was a hassle with my work contact requirements "

We travel both by land AND sea, and DH who has to be "connected" for work while we travel, finds LAND travel so much easier than sea...

We are late 40's and have three teens, 13, 15, and 17 years old. They have enough travel experience with us to know what they may encounter as well as what is expected of them in most any situation.

Based on our previous cruising experience with them on Celebrity, and our recent experience with Azamara and previous experiences with Regent, we would definitely take them on either of these lines on a cruise with such an interesting itinerary. The 15 year old is not a reader so it's a little harder for him to enjoy days of downtime, but we would spend any sea days poring over information on the upcoming places we would be visiting on the cruise.

Nightlife isn't much of a consideration for us or the kids as we enjoy people but are not into ship's entertainment. As someone else mentioned you should have an active group on this cruise given the port intensive days so the ship shouldn't be asleep before 10:30 or so.

Well-behaved teens are a joy to behold to most anyone these days, and as mentioned before, the Azamara staff goes out of their way to help those on their own feel included in any way they can.

I originally posted December 2013 and after some feedback we subsequently decided to book and had 14 days fantastic days of suite life on the Eclipse to the Caribbean .

Well it was time to find something new and we came back to and had a second look at Azamara and have booked an owners suite December 10 2016 HK to Singapore.

Our son will have just left college and will be 18 ( so we can all enjoy a soothing beverage at the Rex rooftop bar) we are all looking forward to seeing and enjoying some of the sites of Asia and trying what Azamara has to offer .

I would appreciate any feedback and hints from those who have done this particular trip.

All The Best

Hi

We are a late forties couple with an older teenage son ,and have travelled extensively .Due to a number of work factors we had hoped that cruising would provide a solid base for travelling and remaining in contact with work.

Our first cruise was on the Royal Princess in the Med and it really did not "click" with us the ship itself was asleep at 8.00 pm and a number of the passenger base where grumpy ,demanding and difficult which did not make

for a pleasant experience .

We are looking at the Azamara Quest in Asia Jan 2015 as an option is Azamara a friendly ,fun place to be with high end service and facilities ,which would suit our age group?

Kind Regards

Tony

Oceania is worth a look. Suites are fabulous, service and food very good. Their newer ships (we were on Riviera) have a very nice fitness facility. There is entertainment in the evenings.

We had a Penthouse and it was the nicest accommodation we have had on a cruise ship. Butler service was excellent and we had an extended balcony where we hosted a cocktail party for 12 and had plenty of space.

There were no teens or kids on our Med cruise, which is as we prefer.

Hi Caviargal

My post prior to yours was a follow up of an old post two years ago ,we have being looking at Azamara HK to Singapore on and off for sometime.

We came back to it and have booked one of the owners suites for 2016.It has a number of overnights and interesting ports and as we are not huge fans of sea days it should us nicely .
