T2C Posted December 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2013 What does the letter have to say from the parents to allow us to take them out of country? Parents are divorced so I know I need a letter from both of them. They don't have passports or photo ID's so I'm using B.C's but do I need anything else with a B.C for them? Thanks everyone and OH, they are 6 and 8 years old.

The letter will need to state that you have their permission to take them out of the country. I would specifically list the sailing date, ship and ports of call. It should also state that it gives you permission to make any medical decisions for them. I would also have the letter notarized...... mikaula Posted December 26, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2013 You can get an ID card thru the DmV if you need a picture . The passport cards are reasonable too.

Joie Posted December 26, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2013 I am taking my 2 granddaughters in March. They don't have passports, but did get the permission letter signed by both parents....they are divorced also. It does give me authority to make medical decisions if necessary. I listed the name of the ship dates sailing and to what islands. Also include the airline info just in case. And yes have it notorized. They are 13 and 14 and only one has a picture ID from school. I thought I had to get the younger one a photo ID but maybe I don't per the other posters note.
Colorado Kat Posted December 26, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 26, 2013 Since they are 13 and 14 you should not need photo ids.
