Why do aft location cabins seem to book faster than forward? I have stayed in the forward cabins and was quite comfortable.

Nothing at all wrong with forward cabins; but I've found the aft balconies are generally less windy. Also the ride is a little smother; and I love the purrrr of the engines and the whoosh of the wake. And you have a wider angle view from the aft balconies.

First they are very private. Very little hallway traffic back there other than the residents and the staff. Secondly for the most part they have some of the biggest balconies on the ship. The wake view can't be beat. There is a reason a lot of cruise ships place their most expensive suites on the stern. We only sail aft and if we can't get an aft suite we find another cruise

assuming by "aft" you mean the aftmost 1/3 of the ship as shown in the newer Princess deck plans, we prefer this area.

This 1/3 of the ship is closer to most casual dining and promenade deck venues, and many believe there is less pitching motion, being nearer to the propellers driving the ship. The drawback to this area is more vibration at times from the engines/drive system, and at times balconies can have smoke exhaust from the engines.

Then there is Princess pricing, which can make the aft 1/3 attractive. :)
