Do excursions and drink packages that you preorder get charged to your credit card or do they go on your shipboard charges and show up on your final bill at the end of your cruise?

They will be charged to your credit card at the time you book them. They are only added to your shipboard account if booked onboard.

Thanks, this is our first time with Celebrity and I thought I heard that. I know Princess puts everything onto your shipboard account.

Anythting that is preordered is put on your credit card and is seperate from your cruise fare and folio.

 

This is done for a reason.

 

If you don't have your fare paid in full you will not be allowed to board the ship until it is paid..

 

If you have unpaid charges on your folio you will not be allowed to disembark at the end of the cruise until you arrange a way to pay for it. That is one of the reasons that you hear passengers names being called to report to the desk on the last day. It is because they owe money.

 

If you order something before the cruise it is between you and the credit card company and the cruise line cannot keep you from boarding or disembarkiing for those charges.
