the amount is misleading anyway. If I play a $5 hand of video poker and get paid $5, they claim it's $5 in winnings paid out. Even though I broke even. What ever number they publish should be ignored and shouldn't sway anyone from gambling more (or less).

I must say that we were on the Equinox in Sept for a med cruise and they have the tightest slot machines I have ever saw. Not being a rookie to casinos I know the odds on slots are not good, but at least its fun to win a little bit just to keep playing. This was not the case here, we won very little. Also the machines could stand to be updateded as most were quite old.

Agree also, not a stranger to slot machines and all the Celebrity ships are extremely tight. If I spent $200 in the casino two weeks ago it was a lot and I usually will play much more, just don't do it on Celebrity ships.

It was VERY tight last week and prices went up.

I'm also use to seeing $75,000 - $150,000 winnings printed, but this last week and several papers printed/copied to this site it has been under $39,000 in winnings for the week. Was just curious.

If you put in $200 and get back $150 ,it lists $ 150 winnings...ridiculous...they would never print cruisers losses or the house profit...which is always the case.

All the number represents to me is a measure of how much is played.

All the tightness means is fewer dollars are returned as a percentage of money put in.

Another thing that irks me is that the 'Progressive" jackpots are reset every cruise Pennies are added for each dollar put in and unlike normal casinos on land they don't accumulate .

Your last point is a great one, they could generate more customers if the progressive grew every week. I had to laugh on my cruise two weeks ago and I looked at the winnings listed on the daily. This was in my room the first night after dinner and was for the second day. It listed over a $100,000 winnings for the cruise thus far. These dailies were probably printed before the casino even opened for the cruise.
