For the blue man group show on the Epic... Can anyone sit in the front row like a first come first serve or are they reserved?

I think they hold them for the younger crowd. You will need to get there early because that show fills up early.

They didn't reserve them when I went to see the show last year. My friend and I sat front row center and had a great time.

But the front does fill up fast... so I'd go early, if at all possible.

They are not held for the younger crowd.

They are open to all.

The suite guests being escorted by the concierge have first pick since they are seated by the concierge prior to the doors being opened.

After the suite guests are seated, then any remaining seats are available to all.

How early is early?

depends on the night and sailing. We got there 30 minutes before the show way back in 2010 and got seats up front. I'm sure some sailings or shows you might need to get there over an hour early to line up.

The handicapped entrance is near the front row, so definitely not just for the younger set.

We sat in the front row once and later in the back row for another performance (on a TA/back to back)....totally different perspective each time.

If you want front row, you can get them. You just have to get in line and wait. We were in a suite and wanted front row and were escorted down way before the show. There were already about 50 people already in the theater. We settled on second row which is just as good.

The BMG pretty much ignore the people in the front few rows. They look past you and focus their attention about 10 rows back. Even when they climb over the seats, the first few rows are ignored and they play for the full theater far back. Makes total sense.

Also, I noticed from my first show on Epic in 2010 vs 2013 is that there is no more splashing for the first few rows. So while they still give you plastic covers, there is nothing to worry about now. Seems the stuff they squish is not as splashy. That blob thing still flies into the audience about 10 rows back.

IMO, the best place to see the show is about 10 rows back.

Does anyone know if the BMG show has changed in the last year?

We are leaving for cruise #3 on the Epic in a few weeks, #1 and #2 the show was exactly the same, still fun but no surprises.

Blue Man Group never changes. It is the same show over the world.

It would be like asking if Chicago or Stomp ever changes ;)

It takes lots of practice to get the routine done so I don't think you will see any changes. I find it entertaining everyt ime.

David: Blue Man Group does, in fact, have some strong variations in the show depending on where it is presented (i.e. The one onboard EPIC is different from the one presented at Universal Studios in Florida)

Stomp is also different, depending on location.

Chicago will only be different if someone onstage or in the booth screws up pretty bad. :p

That was not what I was saying. Of course each city or traveling group has a variation. That was not the question. To be CLEAR. Blue Man Group was the exact same show on Epic in 2010 and 2013.

Of course if you see them in Las Vegas there are small differences etc. But that was not the question someone asked. They asked if the NCL version changed any.

Good question actually. I was just wondering the other day when they will change out the main entertainment on the Epic. They can't keep the same stuff forever.

Anyone have any thoughts or insight on that?

Thanks.

well, I think your reply was appropriate. While David probably meant that the show on the Epic doesn't change except for mild variations (there is a little bit of ad-lib according to the performers), he did state that it's the same all over the world...which it isn't. Probably just an unfortunate use of words or I'm reading it wrong.

I've seen BMG in 4 times in three different venues. The two shows in Vegas I saw were significantly different from each other. They made some big changes when they moved from the Luxor. The Orlando show is different again. The Epic show is more similar to the original Luxor show than the Venetian or FL shows.
