No charge for DVDs in any cabin -- unless you don't return. there is a booklet listing all the ones available in your cabin near the tv, usually

The movies are old as the hills. As long as you don't expect anything remotely new you'll be ok. Have fun!

you can bring your own dvd's, just make sure they are not blue ray

Ah now they did not have DVD's when the hills were made :p. Now I would say they are from the previous century ;)

The only good thing is that you have a chance to watch what you'd never make time for at home. We watched season one of Tudors. I think we have about 5 more cruises worth of watching!

There are plenty of excellent movies from both this century and last century. I have the book in front of me (I'm on a cruise) and have been very impressed with the selection. We have borrowed about 6 movies.

Checking on the Zaandam and Eurodam later, the booklet seems to be the same.

I don't hit a lot of movie theatres so I don't remember release dates very well, but here's some where the release date is mentioned in the book
