cmalagngl Posted January 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2014 We are on the Equinox on the 10 Day Caribbean cruise in March. Doing some research on shore tours. We are experienced cruisers with over 20 cruises sailed so we know the drill. Getting to the point in our lives where convenience counts for something so we are considering a few ship tours on this cruise. Are the shore tours cheaper online before we depart than they are once we are on the ship. We have not sailed Celebrity except for the XPedition last year since 1998 so we are newbies to the Celebrity experience on board. Any information booking pre cruise or on board and any cost difference would be appreciated.
Kwenz Posted January 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Ship sponsored tours are the same price whether ordered on line in advance or on board ship.
KirkNC Posted January 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) The advantage to prebooking is you have a spot if the tour gets full. Edited January 5, 2014 by KirkNC
M&Dcruisers Posted January 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2014 An advantage of booking onboard is you can pay with your OBC (if you have one). But as previously said you take a chance the tour will sell out.
cmalagngl Posted January 6, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted January 6, 2014 Thank you for the quick replays. Good point on something selling out if we really want to go. Can you cancel on board if you pre book if you decide you don't want to go?
Rare Lois R Posted January 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2014 Thank you for the quick replays. Good point on something selling out if we really want to go. Can you cancel on board if you pre book if you decide you don't want to go? Yes you may but they have a certain timeframe for cancellations. You need to check with the Excursion Desk for that information.
