this is our 4th year in a row sailing on sb sunday. I can tell you it is a BLAST!!!! Last year was on the Breeze, everyone was standing for the National Anthem when we lost the feed. Without missing a note the entire crowd continued singing and finished the song just as the feed came back. I got chills then, and do now just typing this. Was lots of fun, most wear their hometown gear, which is kinda cool. Getting awefully tired of people feeling sorry for us, when they see our Lions gear , with the exception of our neighbors from Cleveland:D. Usually at half time, we go inside to the lounge and sit on whatever side we're rooting for. The whole ship is one big party. :D

I'll be rocking my Lions gear and DW will be decked out in her "Brownies" gear on the Freedom. Can't wait!

Do I correctly remember hearing, that in prior years, they change elegant night because of the super bowl?

You would think that would be a given every time but John Heald actually asked that question on his FB page this week. Said some of the other CD's were asking if they should move it. I think the overwhelming reply was yes.

Since the purpose of elegant night to Carival is to give us a reason to dress up and sell us pictures it should be obvious to them to move elegant night.

Dumb idea to have it in NJ in Feb. Hoping for 2 foot blizzard that day.

It is beyond a dumb idea!

Paying +$2500 a seat (stubhub current) to sit outside in frigid tempertures.

FOOLS!!

Gonna be nice to be watching in Freeport!

Maybe the photographers have a football field background ready to take pictures with helmets and jerseys on. :D

My birthday is always very close to Super Bowl Sunday so I'm trying to turn it into a tradition to cruise during this time even though I don't care about football at all...lol.

I had to skip last year in order to participate in a promotion process at work so this will be my second Super Bowl/birthday cruise and I'm already booked for 2015!

We sail from Nola at 4pm. What time does SB start?

Anyone know when they usually do the emergency drill?

I really want to watch some of the sail away before dark & before SB.

I think kick off is around 630PM EST

We are sailing on the Liberty on SB. There would have been more going with us but because of Superbowl they decided to stay home.

As far as cold being in Bears country there have been plenty of football games that friends of mine have sat out in the cold frigid weather. The game must go on.

Didn't think about the Jersey wearing but I think there may only be two in our group who may watch. My thought since our Bears let us down again who cares.

But they were diehard bear fans used to cold weather. Superbowl fans come for the spectacle and most likely their team is not at the game.

Problem is I love Football and always watched the Superbowl with my sons. My Husband does not understand the game. He watched it one time with his children I asked him who is winning all three said at the same time "The blue Team" I will have to go root for them at the Casino (sneak into Es Sport) while he is playing blackjack. I think my girlfriends and I can have allot of fun bouncing around the ship going to the different places that will have the game on.

THey all will if they are shelling out thousands.

Not so sure. Many tickets are controlled by businesses who give it to their customers who may not even have a rooting interest in the game.

Will be interesting to see though.
