BC Eddie Posted January 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2014 The deck plans on the Viking Sky site do not show and tables for two. On the Viking riverboat we were on the deck plan was pretty close to the actual seating but that may not be the case with the sky. There are certainly times when it is nice to "get away from the crowd" but for my wife and myself, while we are not huge socializers, certainly one of the highlights of our one and only river cruise was the great connections we made over dinner with our travelling companions. Of course, fully understand if that is your preference and, again from the brochure, "free 24 hour room service" is included.
Rare Vineyard View Posted January 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2014 I would agree with BC Eddie - we are not socializers either - nor are we usually 'group' travelers - however on our river cruise this year, we met some really nice people - still in touch and planning trips with one couple! TERRIER1 Posted January 9, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2014 If no.. then can you get room service in your room for dinners? Thanks ! When I called and asked Viking a while ago they said it too soon to determine the layout. We like to eat at tables for two also.
Bear_Music Posted January 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Curiously, the illustration for "The Restaurant" shows a long banquette that seems to allow tables to be positioned as 2-tops, but it's not reflected in the deck plan of the restaurant, so who knows? BC Eddie Posted January 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2014 (edited) Curiously, the illustration for "The Restaurant" shows a long banquette that seems to allow tables to be positioned as 2-tops, but it's not reflected in the deck plan of the restaurant, so who knows? Good catch Bear_Music! The Viking deck plans show nothing that matches this table configuration. Edited January 13, 2014 by BC Eddie
