Early Bird Booking

We would like to book a cruise for December 28, 2014. On Carnival's site, they are offering an "early bird booking" through January 17, 2014. Do they offer early bird specials for a few months or when do they stop offering any sort of "early bird" specials relative to your sail date?

Thanks!

Yes, EArly Bird Saver....

I'm just not sure we can actually commit in one week to get that fare quoted.. I was wondering if they offer Early Bird Saver for a few months since it is only January and we aren't going until December 28. Just to give us more time to get firm commitments.

There is no such thing as Early Bird Saver...which is probably why no one is answering your question.

It is either Early Saver or Super Saver.

Which one are you referring to?

You may book Early Saver and CHANGE it later if you find you cannot keep this particular date. They do however charge a $50 fee per person to do this.

Hope this helps.

You I assume are looking at the Early Saver +Free upgrade sale. The upgrade sale is what will end on January 17th. Otherwise here is a bit of info on Early Saver in general.

Here's how the Early Saver program works:

1. When you book a 3-5 day cruise three months in advance, or 6 day or longer cruise five months in advance, you are assured the

lowest rate with a cabin assignment.

2. In the unlikely event that you do find a lower Carnival-advertised rate after booking your cruise, we will honor it and adjust your cruise rate accordingly. Simply fill out the Price Protection Claim form and we'll take care of the rest. If you booked your cruise with a travel agent and need to make a Price Protection Claim, simply contact your travel agent and they will submit it for you.

Early Saver ends 5 months before 6-8 day cruises & 3 months before 3-5 day cruises.

They are always having some kind of sale which is not early saver.

With early saver if you have to cancel you lose $50 pp + your deposit is held in escrow for another cruise which must be booked (& sailed ?) within 2 years. Don't book ES unless you are pretty sure your plans won't change.
