eatsallinsects Posted January 26, 2014 #101 Share Posted January 26, 2014 Sorry, no webcam in Limon that I could find. The next time will be tomorrow when they transit the Panama Canal. *************************** THANKS for your reply! Just saw on AOL that there is another brand of ship down there with NORO onboard: over 300!
alibabacruisers Posted January 26, 2014 #102 Share Posted January 26, 2014 Yeah, I couldn't find a webcam for Limon either. One of the places I found said "Puerto Limon has no webcam". I guess I will rely on Cunards webcam and the Panama Canal webcams tomorrow. Yes it was shocking to hear about the 300 people with noro. It was on Explorer of the Seas I think. Salacia Posted April 1, 2014 #107 Share Posted April 1, 2014 According to a report by CBS, QV was "knocked off moorings by powerful storm, rough conditions" in San Francisco on the afternoon of 31 March. "Port officials responded to a call shortly after 1 p.m. that the Queen Victoria cruise ship was coming off its moorings and listing towards the Bay. Lines holding the vessel to the berth snapped, causing cleating to pull away from the ship. A person who worked along the water said that the 6,000 pound gangplanks had to be put back in place. Passengers were eventually allowed to board the ship." copied from http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2014/03/31/cruise-ship-knocked-off-moorings-by-powerful-storm-rough-conditions-in-port/ The good news is that there was no mention of any injuries. Best wishes to all onboard -S.
