Looks like the QV arrived in port ahead of time. Seas-scanner reckons

Arrival will be in 2 hrs 32 min. (at 09:00 h local time)

Yes she's here. I'm just waiting for daylight to walk down from my hotel to get a glimps. There's a bridge just a block from the hotel which overlooks the port.

Hope to be on board within the next 6 hrs.

Friends of mine are on this little jaunt.

It fills their bucket list.

Is there a good ship tracker so I can follow them?

Gramps

The following website gives great views of all the ships in Port Everglades:

http://www.portevergladeswebcam.com/

The black-hulled ship on camera 1 is a HAL ship. Try camera 2 which moves around and eventually shows the QV. Camera 3 doesn't appear to work.

With the camera that pans, you will see 3 ships in a U shape. The QV is the center one.

Just met Marie on the bridge, road bridge, not ship's bridge. :D

Hi Porthopper.

Can you post the link to your blog or are you just posting on Cruise Critic?

We are booked on Queen Victorias World Voyage in 2015 together with our close friends - both couples are celebrating 50th Wedding Anniversaries. So we will be following your adventures with interest!

Good luck and enjoy.

Marie, thank you so much for taking the time to take us along on your cruise. Sounds like you might be the queen of world cruising.

Love to tag along this way as it will most likely be the only way I will ever be on a world cruise.:(

Enjoy your cruise and look forward to many more days with you on QV.

We had never been to Fort Lauderdale. We decided to get here three days early. Our flight was to leave at 6:00 am. I was too excited to sleep. I get out of the bed at 2:00 am. The taxi arrived at 4:30 am. To my surprised, four big cases and two small ones fit in the Prius.

We flew on American airlines; first to Dallas then to Fort Lauderdale. The flights were on time. The service was excellent and the food was quite good. We both had spinach omelet for breakfast and chicken pot pie for lunch.

Love the warm mixed nuts on American Airlines! Have a great trip!

Thank you. I am sure I shall have plenty time to play it :D. How was your cuise on the QM?

Take care

Marie

Oh! We totally loved the QM2, will definitely book another cruise this year.

We just came back from a mini-cruise on the QE a few days ago. We like it but we like QM2 more.

It seems that it will take some time until you have unpacked everything. How many dresses and shoes have you brought with you this time? :D

Hi Marie,

Just wanted to say have a wonderful cruise & will look forward to your posts & pictures. We were on the webcam but see that your ship doesn't go out until 9:00pm so it will be to dark to really see anything, darn! :( We watch the ships every wk.end, I guess you could say "we're addicted". LOL

Hope you liked Ft. Laud. as my DH & I grew up there and graduated from highschool there during the time of "Where the Boys Are"! (Don't live there anymore as it got to busy).

Anyway, have a great time. :D
