Quickie question on third person

If we were to take a third person on a cruise, does their rate include shore excursions? I know they need to pay their air, probably taxes, but what about shore excursions? liquor? tips? etc.

Definitely a good deal. We took our youngest son as 3rd person several times.

Could someone explain how this works? Is there a rate for an additional person in a suite as opposed to a single supplement fare?

I'm sure the experts on this board will correct me if I'm wrong, but a single supplement would be for a person who is sailing by themselves in a double cabin. It's usually pretty pricey....

The third person fare is for a third person sailing with two others in a double cabin (3 people in the cabin). At least in our case, the third person (a close friend of ours) fare was excellent and includes all perks. They do have to pay extra for their air, but the airfare was so low, you couldn't walk for that price!

Watch out for deals - on our Caribbean cruise and on a Paul Gauguin cruise the third person in the room sailed free. We just had to pay his airfare.

Thanks, Mudhen and RachelG. That is what I assumed. Suppose this would work well for some of the higher category suites with additional space and sleeping arrangements

Oh yes! To my knowledge the "third person rate" stays the same no matter what category you book! We're in a lower mid range "F", but the third was about half the regular rate including the air add on. Most definitely a good deal, no matter what category you book!
