Cheers program limit!!!!!

I don't have a problem with the Cheers program, but I do think Carnival should consider some kind of red flag system that alerts bartenders when a cruiser reaches, say drink #6 or 7.

At that point maybe the remaining drinks up to 15 can only be served and consumed in ones cabin? Or perhaps bartenders might then be instructed to administer a quick BAC blow test to anyone ordering drink #7 thru 15 on a given day, and cut off at 0.15 or some other Carnival determined BAC, just until they sober up a little.

My only point being is that everyone's body and tolerance is different so, it's difficult to assign some arbitrary daily drink # cap. But at the same time we cannot have cruisers getting fall-down, punch-out drunk ruining others folks vacations.

Other suggestions? I think it's a discussion worth having.

I dont think the 15 cap has as much to do with alcohol intake as it is financial. I would imagine the #15 came from where they would really start to lose money.

The idea of giving tests would be a huge task. I would imagine that would be a lot of people to deal with. Those instruments also need to be calibrated on a regular basis. It would not be a very popular idea.

I don't disagree with the idea of responsible serving. I've worked in bars and casinos. The casinos around here are far more strict in serving alcohol, they cut people off before they are intoxicated due to the laws/risk of being shut down for the day. I don't think certain numbers and BAC testing are required.

I am thinking of doing the cheers program and I will never drink 15 drinks but because my husband is getting the program, I have to as well. Anyways, I noticed that it includes Non-alcoholic frozen drinks so if I'm understanding what people are saying, if I order me 3 alcohol concoctions, then 4 NA frozen concoctions for the kids, then I will have 7 against my 15 limit? If that's the case, then I'm fine with it considering we spent over $200 just on NA frozen drinks for the kids last time; however, if they aren't going to let me order the frozen drinks under my cheers program, then that might be a problem.

Just wondering how this might work and the whole, you can only order 1 at a time rule. Thanks

Your Cheers package is not transferrable to your children.

Well considering there is no drink cap for customers paying by the drink...It has to be solely for financial reasons. If it wasn't then there would not be a drink cap.

I just want to clairfy a couple points. The 15 drink limit is just in relation to alcoholic drinks? Can I get as many sodas/non-alcoholic frozen drinks as I want? Then 25% discount on bottles wine. If I used this would the bottle wine count against my 15 drinks or be in addition to.

I can't speak to the wine question, but the 15 limit is just for alcohol. (At least that is how I understand it...)
