cstrick Posted January 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2014 Does the couch open up as a bed? We have booked a PH2 and are taking our adult daughter along.
Rare ORV Posted January 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2014 I think you'll want to check the deck plans for rooms that are able to sleep more than 2.

hypercafe Posted January 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2014 When you reserve your trip for three people I would guess Oceania will put you in a room that sleeps three.
JimandStan Posted January 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Does the couch open up as a bed? We have booked a PH2 and are taking our adult daughter along. Some of them do and some of them don't. You'll need to look at the Deck-Plans for the ship on which you may sail, and use the Legend: to find the Penthouse(s) which have the features which you desire Note: The example which I have illustrated here is from the smaller ships (Insignia, Regatta & Nautica) where some of the Penthouses sleep four persons. On the larger ships, none of the cabins, regardless of size, sleep more than three. Read your Deck-Plans, people! Riverroad Posted January 20, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2014 Question on the "Quad with Pullman" on the R ships: does that mean 2 beds pull down from the ceiling? Considering taking family, including grandchildren, to Alaska next summer and trying to figure out how many cabins we would need. Also, is there a discount for third and fourth passenger in the cabin? Don't want to ask TA just yet until we're closer to a decision.
warburg Posted January 20, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2014 We have stayed in PH 10022 on Marina and Riviera. The couch did not convert. Mary
sailorgirl Posted January 20, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 20, 2014 It is a two person couch and one night I was restless and tried to sleep on it so as not to disturb my husband but it wasn't long enough!

Yes it does mean that berths fold down , and yes there would be a discount for the third and fourth persons, sharing that same cabin. Be careful, however, as more than two adults in anything smaller than a Penthouse can be a VERY intimate experience on the R ships, and even IN a Penthouse, I would not try four unless the second two were young children. Please, your not recommending someone bring " young children" on an R ship......are you?
