Kellie Poodle Posted January 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2014 We are going on our first Azamara cruise in a few weeks on Quest. I am not a great dessert eater, but I love Pavlova, especially strawberry Pavlova. Is there a chance that I will be able to get it on the Quest? What other desserts, appetizers and mains should I be on the lookout for?

midwestchick Posted January 22, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2014 All of their gelato is delicious...someone talked me into trying the rum raisin and I'm so glad I tried it. If you like Escargot, the night they have the White Night party they serve so many delicious dishes and appetizers....the escargot was to die for...I think I had 2 full servings myself :o ......must have been calorie free.:D:D;) I kept reading about a seafood buffet before our cruise but honestly, for some reason, they did not have it on our cruise. I remember asking Chef Fabio about it but still don't remember why they didn't. I really hope they do on our upcoming cruise.
Kellie Poodle Posted January 22, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted January 22, 2014 I love escargot. I remember when Celebrity had them on their every night menu. Don't know if they still do. Looking forward to our cruise. Might have to drop a few pounds so I can eat like a skinny person. :D Am definitely packing gym clothes.

Looking forward to our cruise. Might have to drop a few pounds so I can eat like a skinny person. :D Am definitely packing gym clothes. Celebrity was having a shortage of Escargot this past summer (seasonal???) but they served escargot every night in the MDR when we sailed in Sept. Did I eat it every night we ate in the MDR....yes:D...some night's DH shared his with me on top on my order and I remember one night ordering two servings:o....don't worry about your weight....don't you know all the food on Azamara is calorie free. ;) Truthfully if you're on a port intensive cruise and you're out and about every day, doesn't seem like the pounds appear very quickly...at least not for us. And, personally, I eat 3 times more than I do at home on the cruises, not counting what we eat when we're out and about in ports. Just eat and enjoy the cruise and the food. You only go around once in life...live it to the fullest.

librarylady19 Posted January 22, 2014 #12 Share Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) Checked out Deirdre's link and read the recommendations here and I realize 2 things: 1) I'm really going to have to stick to my diet and exercise plan pre-cruise and 2) we need more food porn on the Azamara board. Definitely plan to make food and drink photos a highlight if my review, as obviously I'm not the only one interested in this;) Edited January 22, 2014 by librarylady19
azevedan Posted January 22, 2014 #13 Share Posted January 22, 2014 For those on low-fat, they have low-fat frozen yogurt in a soft-serve machine up on deck 9, just right of the door near the grill. This station probably added the 2 pounds I gained on our recent cruise all by itself. There are also wonderful sorbets in the MDR.
