I was just in San Juan last week for precruise and had 7 people total. I'm not sure what your budget is but I stayed in a private condo in Isla Verde. It was the ESJ Towers and you can book directly from them. They are right on the beach, a few blocks from restaurants and a Publix and with young ones, it has a kitchen to save some money. Close to the airport too. Actually we could see the planes take off from our balcony.

I would definately stay there again. Here is the link. They are having a $114 a night special but not sure when that rate ends. I actually booked from a private person on homeaway.com. She had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. If you can't book directly through ESJ Towers, I can pass on her info if you like. She was very nice and accomodating.

FYI, I just returned from the Valor and it was an awesome cruise. The islands were beautiful.

When you stay at ESJ Towers do you have access to the pool/beach facilities at neighboring El San Juan Resort and Casino? Do they give you wrist bands so you can use the pool and beach?

Thanks.

I am not sure what your plans are for the two days but, we booked the Fajardo Inn outside of SJ and they have a room with 2 queen beds.

It has nice reviews and lots to do especially having little ones.

PLMK if you have any questions.

ESJ Towers has a beach and pool so we didn't even try to go use El San Juans BUT we did stop at a beach bar for a drink there and was able to pay cash for it. Also on the 10th floor is a Sports Bar with really awesome Buffalo Wings. We went there to watch some football and ended up staying about 3 hrs. It was fun.

Here is the listing on Cyber Rentals. If you can't link to it, it is San Juan listing 111540 or email me directly at frang1121 at yahoo dot com. The womans name was Chana and she was very nice to deal with.
