hello, we are trying to decide between these two options for part of our day in Barbados. which would you prefer? or are neither of them worth it? also... how would i get to each of them? bus vs. taxi? and how much to get there. (that could be a deciding factor on which one we choose!)

This is the Nutmeg Grove along the pathway at Welchman Hall Gully

in the center of the island.

The whole walk along the gully floor is quite pleasant

with numbered trees which the botanically-interested can identify

with the aid of a pamphlet handed out at the start of the hour-long walk.

When you get to the end, you turn around and come back,

seeing everything from a different perspective and lighting!

Welchman Hall Gully is also very close to Harrisons Caves,

and so it's easy to do both attractions. ;)

By comparison, Animal Flower Cave is right up to the Northern tip of the island.

The cave itself is not much to see

but for those who like going down into holes in the ground, it could be interesting.

The bigger draw at that location is the scenic sea-cliffs all around

especially if heavy seas are coming in.
