artist47 Posted January 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2014 I stumbled onto this blog while I was looking for a good photo of the Norway to paint....(I'm doing a small commission and the customer wants a more nostalgic dock scene , etc...) Anyway, I found this and I just thought it was so interesting, and I thought some people here might enjoy it. It is the recollections and reflections, as well as auto-biography of a Norwegian man who became a ship's captain...and he was also with Norwegian Cruise Line in its very early days. It's a wonderful read for any who enjoy history and maritime subjects. If it has been posted before, please forgive me, I just wanted to share with likeminded people Enjoy: http://www.captainsvoyage.com
meatball_nyc Posted January 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) Thanks for posting the link. It was interesting to see the older ships beginning in 1968 Starward. They look so small compared to the huge ships today! The 1991 Westward is when they started to get bigger. Thank you again for the link. Very informative.
