Dream or Legend?

I'm almost positive that after the Legend drydocks this month, it will have the Seaside theater.

I talked to an agent yesterday who said probably not because only the bigger ships have the room for it... but then he also said he didn't know for sure

I have never been on the Dream but sailed the Legend and her sister ship the Miricale. We prefer the smaller ship as we have sailed on the the liberty and splendor. I'm not opposed to the larger ships and would like to try one of the new ships one day. We are balcony cabin lovers so I would defiantly have to choose the legend just for the OV opposed to the inside.

Which ever you choose your going to have a awesome trip.

As other posters have said that the time of year your sailing is spring break and the ship will be more crowded. So the legend probably holds close to a 1000 less people then the dream.

We sailed the Splendor last year at spring break and will never do make that mistake again!!! It was so crowded and unfortunalty we discovered many parents don't find the need to watch their children on a cruise ship and found that to be the biggest issue on the trip.

Cruise Deck Plans dot com has the following info:

Carnival Dream:

Crew: 1369

Pax: 3626-4533

Carnival Legend:

Crew: 961

Pax: 2124-2549

So when the Dream is REALLY full, it will hold almost 2,000 MORE people than the Legend

Legend has far fewer 3-4 pax rooms than the Dream.

Spirit Class also has one of the highest pax-space ratios in the industry

Can I ask, with these cabins do you get many staff walking past during the morning/day?

On our 12 day cruise we saw 1 worker twice outside our cabin on the gangway and by the time we had got lunch/gone to sort something they had gone. They didnt even see us!

We hardly noticed it but we drew the curtains to change clothes.

I was on the Legend going on 2 summers ago. We had the French Door cabin and loved it. The trick is being able to find the cabins that are between the lifeboats. You get about 5 feet of clearance where you can see directly to the water. It was nice to open the doors and see out.
