LParente Posted February 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2014 I'm the only non swimmer in our group booked for cave tubing. Is it safe for a non swimmer? Sent from my KFJWA using Forums mobile app
Rare crewsweeper Posted February 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2014 IIRC, you get a life vest. Plus you are sitting in not on an inflated tube, butt through the hole. Linked to the tube in front and behind. Not too likely to fall out. Any swimming or rope swining is optional. Water level is knee high wheere you put in and take out. Nevertheless, if you have time, you should take/practice some basic "survival" floats and strokes. If only for your own peace of mind.
aggie_gal Posted February 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2014 You'll have a life vest and there is no swimming involved in the excursion unless you want to. Go for it...might not be a bad idea to let your guide know.

Rare mitsugirly Posted February 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2014 As others have mentioned, there is no swimming involved. You relax on the tube while the tour guide does all the work pulling you around. You are linked together with a clip. We have taken my daughter on the tour when she was first 3 years old and again last year when she was 5 years old. We had a blast each time. I have 2 reviews in my signature line if you are interested in reading more about it. :)
