What is a RSale and a CSale?

I am planning on using some of my Visa points on my upcoming cruise on the Freedom. I will have enough for a companion fare after the 15th (when some of the points come out of pending). But I was reading on the restrictions and it said it can not be combined with RSale or CSale rates.

 

This weekend I took advantage of a price drop and upgraded to a JS. The sales rep told me it was a weekend sale and my new documentation now says discount. I have a feeling that I am not going to be able to use my points now.

 

But still very curious to what these sales were.

I think you can still use those 75,000 points to get $750 in cruise discounts.

I totally plan on doing that if I can't use the companion. But the minimum oceanview right now is $956. That would give me $200 more. So of course I am hoping I can do that. But if I can't I will be more than happy to save $1000 on a JS by using a weekend sale and lose $200 on the Visa points.

Thanks, I am sure my weekend rate will fall under all that. The link still didnt really tell me what the RSale and CSale were tho. Unless I overlooked it.

That answers my question. I have only sailed with Royal for two years now so I guess those sales are something of the past.
