My wife and I are booked on the Legend on 2/16 (the first sailing after 2 week drydock) Ive heard that there is a good possibility that all the upgrades wont be complete in the 2 week timeframe. Can anyone elaborate on this? For instance, the Spirit underwent the same renovation befor being repositioned to Australia. Can anyone give some insight on the conditions on that cruise?

Go lookup the reviews for ANY cruise after a drydock.

They RARELY, if EVER completely finish on time...(I can't remember reading a review saying there wasn't some sort of finishing work going on.)

Just the degrees of things to finish on the first (sometimes 2nd) cruise out of drydock.

With a two week drydock, I'd be shocked if everything gets done.

Good luck..

What all is being done during the dry dock?

They are up grading the casino, sure wish they would make it so we didn't have to walk threw the smoke to get to the other end of the ship. Putting in sushi area, doing a lot to the main stage & it NEEDS IT. Adding the big water works & two of the new bars but not the 2.0 eatery's

That is all I can remember I'm sure there will be a lot of minor housekeeping things. They really need to work on the self serve laundry & flat screen TV's would be nice.

We are going back to our same cabin that we were in last mth & we marked a couple things. Can't wait until the 16th. to check it ( them ) out.

This info came from the CD Willy Lee at the past guest party. The second week in Jan..

They were ripping the casino machines apart as we left the ship yesterday. There were some things that were out of commission on the last trip as I'm sure there will be some still out on yours. It will be a good trip anyway!! I really liked the crew on this ship!

They also said they were going to recover the tables in the casino.

Yes this is a great crew & most of them are coming back. Can't wait to see them again.

The Spirit still had some pretty major work going on enroute to Australia. There were some pretty disgruntled cruisers on that trip.

Were you on the cruise?

Well, I wasn't one of the disgruntled, and I don't recall hearing about disgruntled cruisers on the cruise....I don't remember anything that major. Yes, they changed out some machines in the casino, they added Australian power plugs, next to American ones, they added an upper sliding lock to balcony doors, and they added free espresso/cappuccino machines to the Lido. I was very pleased with the addition of the free espresso machines.

They also added an outdoor barbecue on the upper deck, but that didn't open until the Australian sailings.

I will also be on the Legend repo...very much looking forward to it.

I heard that from StormnNorm. He was on the cruise. He's a special diamond, you know. Extra brilliant with unparalleled clarity. And over 100 days a year at sea. ;):p:D
