Danbee46 Posted February 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2014 There have been several threads talking about balconies in the YC on the Divina --- some cabins do, some don't, some are very tiny, some don't have good views, etc. Can someone post a clearer explanation of balconies in the various YC cabins? legion3 Posted February 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Skier 51 is the man for this job. His pics will tell it all. That said, I have learned that the yc3 cabins have a forward partial side balcony, are mostly metal with wind break windows. The one picture I saw it was clearly a large balcony but was kind of odd looking. The yc2 only on deck 12 have no balcony. The yc1 have several balconies. Most have standard size small balcony with 2 chairs and a table. There are the famous 4 cabins on deck 15 and 4 on deck 16 that have a longer balcony, not any deeper and with the same amount of furniture. The first couple of cabins at the front have metal walls and the rest have glass. So 15001, 02,03 and 05 have metal walls. Same on deck 15 and 16. The yc1 forward facing on deck 16 have what looks like terrible balconies. These are the ones described as having no view of the sea at all or being in like a fishbowl or a room with a moon roof. The pics look awful. It is clear that balconies all over the divina need to be researched before booking a cabin. It would suck to book an aft facing balcony on deck 13 only to find you are standing on a juliette balcony waiting for romeo to climb up.

legion3 Posted February 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Here is a pic I found of one of the YC 3 Balconies. To me it seems kind of meh in many ways. Sure its big I guess but certainly not the best balcony i have seen given its part of the best cabin on the ship.

legion3 Posted February 10, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 10, 2014 I have a question of those who have stayed in these metal balconies, Can you see over the balcony when sitting in the chair or is this standing room only view? The railing looks quite high on some of these YC3 and for example 9009 front balconies.
TrinaLC Posted January 27 #7 Share Posted January 27 YC2 are 3 cabins on Deck 12 that are YC experience. No balcony as stated. However they are two room suites and have floor to ceiling windows facing front. They are especially nice on cooler day sea day intensive cruises and transatlantics. (Note that the middle one, 12002, is quite a bit smaller though still two rooms. No separate shower unlike the other two.)
