CCL is saying that those waiting to board Magic should wait for a two pm update before heading down so I assume RCCL will delay further boarding for those heading out since ships both at same area waiting to come to docks less than a thousand feet apart.

With late boarding even later dining at least tomorrow is a sea day. Everyone can sleep in, if they want, and not worry about early shore excursion.

It is a cruise so relax and enjoy it. Sorry it's starting off roughly.

I hope everyone that is patiently waiting on NOS to arrive after fog delay has a wonderful week. We were on the Voyager a couple of years ago in Feb and went through a similar fog delay. We boarded at about 8:30pm and I think boarding was completed after 10pm. We woke up Monday morning still tied to the dock because the port fogged back in before we could get out. After that much delay, we were only about an hour and 45 minutes late to our first port.

Coming back in, we awoke to the sound of fog horns and at first we could only hear other ships but could not see them. Later that morning, as the fog cleared, I was amazed at how many ships were around us. The port cleared passenger ships first and we were off the ship by about noon. By the way, we were allowed to stay in the cabin later than normal.

Just another fun experience in our 20 or so cruises!

Hmm. I hope this doesn't happen to us in a few weeks! Will they let you wait in the terminal until boarding? That would be a long afternoon and evening after checking out of your hotel room.

We didn't even go to the terminal until about 4pm so I don't know what they did for early arrivals. When we got there, we lined up out by the RR tracks (I think or maybe the road) a long way from the terminal. Keep in mind this was 2 or 3 years ago so things may have changed.

We stayed at the Hilton and they were accommodating with a late check out, luggage storage, and people lounging all over the lobby. I would think all the hotels are used to late departures this time of year.

Just be prepared to be patient. We packed some snacks in our carry on so we wouldn't starve. Nerves will be raw and tempers will flare but hang in there - You are in line, they won't leave without you. By Monday afternoon, the weather will be warm and boarding will be a distant memory.

The cruise ships are at the mercy of the port. When the port master shuts it down, nothing moves!

Good luck

Additionally, I see you have quite a few with RCCL. After about 45 minutes in line, a lady from check-in came by collecting D,D+ and suite and had us gather off to the side. She then escorted us through security greatly expediting our boarding. Maybe they still do this or you could send a scout once you are in line to see if there is a priority line.

If you could let us know, we are booked for May
