Headed to port..... I have these 2 bottles of wine... Do they go in my checked luggage?!

Would be helpful to know what cruise line you are on - there are different policies with different lines.

With RCI, you are allowed two bottles of wine at 750ml each per stateroom at original embarkation only.

And to your question, in your carry on is recommended and preferred. If it is in your luggage you risk breakage with the bottles as well as likely on board inspection of your luggage to confirm what you are bringing on board.

Enjoy your cruise!

It's RC!! Sounds good! Thanks for the advice!! What about bottled water?

Bottled water is against policy and technically should not be brought on board - but often this is overlooked and allowed. Many people check it as luggage at the pier and have it delivered to the stateroom. However there is no guarantee on this. BTW - unless you have a specific reason - the ship's water is very good. We've never felt the need to bring bottled water on board.

Our last cruise was CCL & the porter was asking everyone to put wine in carry on. We had already done so.

We cruised RCCL several years ago & I bought several bottles of Key West local wine. I did not try to hide it, just walked on with it. To this day I don't understand why they didn't take it.

Maybe it is that sweet, honest face I have. 😃
