in the past we have gone over to the hotel, just to stroll and look, maybe lose some money in the casino and go to lobby area(?) and look at the fish.

i have heard you can not do this anymore without buying a pass?

You heard correctly. Management got greedy, and now you are not allowed to enter, stroll around or view the fish without some type of pass.

Casino is still open to the public, but that's about it. The shops in the older lobby are open as well, but not the main lobby and not the balconies etc.

If you want to see Atlantis.. it will cost you.

Lowest price pass is $45pp. and that's is for the aquarium only. It does not get you access to the grounds.

You can still drop a lot of cash in the casino 🎰 but they no longer permit non-paying guests to wander around the hotel and grounds like they used to. Think of it this way, if it's an area where you can spend money but don't necessarily have to (casino, shops, restaurants) on the property, they will welcome you with open arms. If it's a place where you need to spend money on a ticket (the pools, the dig, etc) you must purchase the entry ticket - either via a ships excursion or the hotel itself (also surrounding hotels as well). Last time I was there, there was still an area outside of the casino where you could walk a short distance a see part of the pool area....can't be sure if that's area is still available though.

I stopped going to Atlantis after my second cruise there....the casino doesn't pay out for beans and I feel the staff aren't very friendly to those of us who aren't a "paying" customer. It's all about the almighty dollar! 💵

Hi Renee! I just saw your response about Atlantis - and I agree that they have become greedy. The casino has never allowed me to leave without dropping $$ there (whose fault is that? Mine, I guess).

Phoebe talks about your nieces a lot - and was wondering when she'd see them again. Hoping they are doing well - all of us send our regards from Pa.

What about at night? You used to be able to go through the aquarium later on at night. Our ship will be in port until late at night, and we were planning on going over after dinner to the casino and hopefully see some of the aquarium.

Can you walk from the casino through the lobbies to the marina at night?
