What to eat/drink off boat

First, if you're just intending to stay at the tender pier, the Wet Lizard is a good place to start. Both upstairs in the main building and on the pier. Try their meat pies or conch dishes. There are a couple of other small places in the tourist Village to eat as well.

One Barrel Rum is the local rum, but you'll find other varieites there along with the typical tropical drinks. Belikin is the only brand of beer sold in Belize, although there are 4 varieties--light (called Lighthouse), Belikin, Belikin Premium and a stout.

If you venture outside the Tourist Village gates, hang left and go over the swing bridge and down Albert Street to Bird Isle where you can sit by the water and see the harbor and cruise pier. Or for a bit more local/native stay on Fort Street out of the TV and walk up to the San Pedro Water Taxi and find Anna's Lunchbox (fresh fruit juices stewed chicken and other dishes). Or go past the swing bridge and the Caye Caulker Water taxi and try Nere's on corner of Queen and Daly (green front) known for its chirmole soup (roasted tomato salsa and chicken).
