RCCL policy bringing soda/water aboard

I'm a Princess cruiser more than RCCL so don't know policy anymore. Can u still bring a case/12pk of soda or water aboard, slap a luggage tag on it and expect it to be @ your cabin door?

No, policy says no outside beverages allowed on board. BUT a lot of people do it and not much is said. I have read that the porters will tell you to carry it on, they can't accept it with a luggage tag. A lot depends on which port and what time of year.

 

I know Galveston cracks down on this policy more than other ports and especially during spring break. I'm hoping we can take some on board the end of March!

I took soda aboard in G'town 4yrs ago on Royal. Took 2/12pks aboard Caribe Princess in Bayport last month. A friend is sailing out on Royal sun from Galvez and asked me.

Always bring water. Never had a problem. I carry it on to avoid being called to the naughty room as I was once. But I have always been able to bring water to the room.

Put a luggage tag on the case of 35 bottles of water and delivered to our room. Carried on the 12 pack of ginger ale (for hubby,s seasickness) and never had a problem.

Last month put a tag on a case of water before boarding Allure. It was delivered to the room no problem.

Technically against the rules but it seems people on CC are a lot more open about breaking that rule than others :p
