1sttimemariner Posted July 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2005 There is some confusion as to whether or not they sell wine in the onboard liquor store on the Mariner. If anyone has done so recently, or knows for sure that they don't sell it, please post so we can get a definate answer on the subject. Thanks!! critterchick Posted July 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2005 Sorry, I've never been on the Mariner, but on any RCI ship I've been on, they do not sell wine in the duty free shop. You can order wine through room service, but be aware that the markup is such that you will pay 4-5x retail. I would bring it on board and take the chance that they confiscate it (their policy is a little confusing, but most posters who bring their own wine take it on board openly and have no problem). Put it in your carryon and send it through the scanners. If they take it, you will get it back the last night of the cruise. If not, you will have the wine you like at a decent price. Rare xpcdoojk Posted July 22, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2005 They don't sell wine other than special commemorative (spelling?) bottles that are not cheap in most of the RCI ships I have been on. Certainly there are no wine bargains on board ship... which is why many bring their own.:D jc
