Stash7 Posted February 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Hello everyone, This is my first time to London. I will be taking a cruise out of Southampton but I plan to stay in London for 3 days to go around. I need a transfer from LHR to Central London (hotel), then tranfer from Central London (hotel) to Southampton, then from the port back to the airport. Can someone recommend any means of transportation/transfers. I would prefer any shuttle than train since I will be dragging my huge suitcase. Thank you so much for your help. Alim51 This is a good website, start with Heathrow then move around the site. http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/heathrow_central_london.htm

genealim Posted February 27, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2014 Thank you, rhlaw. Did you use the train or a shuttle that pick you up from your hotel?
Knolmom Posted February 27, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2014 I just finished booking a transfer from Central London to Southampton, with a stop at Stonehenge, for a very reasonable price, with Woodfordchauffercars.com. Perhaps they do individual bookings.
phabric Posted February 27, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 27, 2014 We have used http://www.justairports.com to and from LHR to hotel. We used National Express Coach http://www.nationalexpress.com from Victoria Coach Station to Southampton Coach Station with a short taxi (5-8 GBP) from Southampton Coach Station to the dock. There are a few stations for Southampton, you need the Southampton Coach Station. You can also take the National Express Coach to LHR. A few passengers have used http://www.internationalfriends.uk on embarkment and disembarkment days.

rhlaw Posted March 2, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Thank you, rhlaw.Did you use the train or a shuttle that pick you up from your hotel? We are using Discover the South (a private taxi)for a tour to Salisbury with our transfer to Southampton. It is a little more pricey than a straight transfer, but we want to see some of the countryside on the way to the ship. They are picking us up at 9am and we will stop at Salisbury on our way to the ship. We are getting a 4 hour tour. Hope this helps.
timetravler Posted March 3, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Thank you so much for all your inputs. Has anyone used SimplyAirports for pick up and transfers? Thank you. I have booked with them for our transfer from Heathrow to our hotel. My husband has a bad back so using any transportation that would require him to lift a large suitcase is out. We are going to book the cruise bus shuttle for our trip to Southampton . Found this on londontoolkit.com.
