Best place to eat lunch once you board??

"Best" is always subjective. You have 2 choices. There is a buffet at the pool deck restaurant (Cabanas/Topsiders depending on ship). You will get your food, go to the beverage station and get your beverages, find your table, and sit to eat. They will clear your table when you leave. If you choose this option, you are close to the fast food outlets, so family members who choose can get stuff there as well.

The other option is a buffet in one of the main restaurants (Enchanted Garden on Dream/Fantasy, Parrot Cay on Wonder, and whatever they changed the name to on the Magic). The food is basically the same as the pool deck. The difference is that you show up at the door and are escorted to a table. Your server takes your beverage order and directs you to the buffet line. By the time you return, your beverages should be at your table and will be refilled as needed.

We prefer the main dining room option....but lots of people like the open air seating on the pool deck (there is enclosed seating as well).

I personally prefer the dining room option, as it is a lot less stressful while trying to drag your suitcases and luggage around . Hunting for a table while dragging your belongings is quite the workout, not to mention somebody having to sit and guard your tables and belongings in a cramped small area while others get their food. When assigned a table, you have a lot more space and area to place your luggage than the cramped (extremely cramped on the Wonder by the way) buffet on the Lido.

We did cabanas on our first cruise but I'm thinks we will try enchanted gardens this time. My husband doesn't like cabanas (the food is fine just the crowding and have to hunt down a table) and enjoyed having breakfast in enchanted garden each morning as well.
