Formal night and dinner schedules

This has probably been asked before but I can't seem to find the proper way to search. Is there anyway to know what the dinner schedule will be ahead of time? I'm wanting to book balcony dining near the beginning of our cruise but I don't want to book it on a formal night or on French night. (Love the escargots) LOL. Can you call Princess ahead of time to get the schedule for each night?

If it is a "standard" cruise, you can usually ask and people will tell you which nights are formal and the general order of the menus.

Calling head office will be of little use.

The Princess patter, which will be in your cabin when you arrive, will tell you which is formal night(s), and dining room staff will likely show you the menus ahead of time.

Know that when you pre-pay for UBD that is all you are doing--pre-paying. You must confirm which night you want it for once you get onboard. The agent at the Princess call center will note your request for which night should you have one in mind, but again it is only a request.

You can often deduce which nights are formal. They are never embarkation day nor the night before disembarkation. They are usually on the first sea day if that's night 2 or 3 and again, a sea day or early sailing port day on day 5 or so. When you board, the Patter will be in your cabin on the desk and it will have the schedule of which nights are formal and which are smart casual.
