Which deck is better for a Boardwalk Balcony, trying to decide between the 9th or 12 deck?

Depends what you want and whether like being closer to the promenade or the sports deck and pools.

I'd go deck 12. Further from the noise of the boardwalk and same deck access to the aft public balcony. No aft public balcony on deck 9.

Deck 12 has a one deck buffer (deck 14) between it and the pool With 3 sea days we spend a lot of time at the pool. CLose enough to get there quick. We enjoyed two cruises on deck 12.

We chose 9th mid near elevators- close to central park. Elevator down several floors to the promanade, We chose same on Allure and Oasis,
