Thank you so very much for taking the time to post your pictures and comments!

We are sailing on Fascination for the first time in April! Your pictures added to my excitement!

For ones asking about water - I always purchase bottled water through The Fun Shops beforehand so it is waiting in our room. I drink tons of water and never drink the ship water. It is on the expensive side, 24 bottles for $24.00 but it is much better than lugging it on yourself (I know because I have done that!).

Anyone that is sailing on the Fascination beginning March 8th through the middle or end of May are in for a treat with the CD, Corey Rogers! We had Corey on the Dream 2 years ago and he was awesome! One of the best if not the best in the fleet! Have fun and enjoy!

That's me! We sail on May15th! Looking forward to a fun CD!! We sailed on the Dream back in October and we had James something(?) as our CD. He was fine but not memorable:/.

OP, You have shared with us an awesome review and photos like I have never seen of this trip here, top professional. What a great trip. I would love to take this one and am a fan of the smaller ships..now everything about them is a special "history of Carnival" and if the crew is happy on them..the service is better..of course I am comparing 1 Spirit class and one Fantasy class...but..I think there are neat views out to the sea from them too it you are in an inside,,,loved those tables you found..loved your tips and writing style...it all was a big happiness shot in the arm..to take pictures like you do and upload..this is my goal..much love to woman in loss too..been doing that with mom and somehow just keeping posting here...eases the cruise we did not take....and keeps her spirit close..it makes us appreciate our times...

OP have a great time of on the Liberty...Sarah

I am confident you will have a wonderful time!

To answer your questions: The water in the room was just as bad. I only enjoyed the water in the MDR. The dessert sushi was in the Coconut Grill (buffet) area. It is beautiful!

Thanks for the review. DW and I have sailed Fascination 5 times, twice last year, and she has a special feeling for us. There is something about Fantasy class ships that can't be duplicated with the larger ships. Our favorite CCL ship is still the Liberty (sailed 2 times). Love the decor and the best staff out of all our cruises, not that the others have been bad.

I am confident that you and your family will enjoy your cruise on Liberty.

Awesome review with pictures!! Thank you so much for taking the time to post all of the pictures, tips and comments!! We sail on her in 2 1/2 weeks and I am more excited now than I was when I booked. I have sailed on her several times before but I can't help but going back to her because of Jacksonville port (We Love it) and also because of the Fantasy class ship. I have also sailed on RCL and I have to say, CCL holds a special place in my cruising heart. You just can't beat the CCL.

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear your comments about Liberty - I had no idea what wonderful reviews Liberty had until after booking and, like I said before, this was a decision well made. We are SO excited about it!

Great review! I am your neighbor in Anderson SC and have an April 14th cruise planned on the Fascination. Did you drive down the day before or day of the cruise?

Hey neighbor! We drove down the day of the cruise. We left about 5:30 in the morning, stopped into Chick Fil A and ate breakfast and were still on board by about 12:30 :D And the room was ready ;)

Jacksonville port was easy to navigate and we really liked it. I can see us returning next year ;);) You are going to have a BLAST!

What is this? They did not have this last july. Thanks!!

The Taste Bar is a little space that you can overlook if you aren't careful. It is next to the Casino and they sample little offerings from the restaurants on other ships. For instance, the Caribbean bites are from the Red Frog Pub, the pork was from the Blue Iguana Bar and the meatball was from their Italian Restaurant Cucina Del Capitano. Here is Carnival's description:

"A voyage to new destinations is the perfect time to try new things… and here’s the perfect place: The Taste Bar. Stop in to The Taste Bar for a new and different delicacy each day — the dishes will give you a taste of the flavors that await at dining venues across the Carnival fleet. Pick up a complimentary appetizer before dinner for a taste of something different."
