Boarding time Regal Princess

I am taking my first ever cruise in October, so would like some info on earliest boarding time. Sailing time is 17.00 from Barcelona, and will be staying in Barcelona the night before. Hotel checkout time is 12.00 so will I be able to go direct to the port and board early? I'd like to settle in and have lunch:)
