Upgrading a complimentary soda package

My TA is giving us a complimentary soda package. Do you know if you can upgrade to another package and pay the difference?

We pre-booked under the old system of drink packages what was the highest option. When we got onboard they new system had been rolled out and I wanted the highest option so I could get free squeezed OJ and specialty coffees. It took them a minute to figure out how to do it, but it was done. On our bill the credited back the old package to our seapass, and then I bough the new package.

It's only "complimentary" because your TA paid for it. RCI didn't give it to you.

Because it technically isn't complementary it will work exactly the same way.
