dusababy Posted March 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Can anyone tell me approximately how far - how long the ride - from debark in Stockholm to the airport? I know day/time is a factor but just trying to schedule pick up time. Thanks in advance --
wripro Posted March 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Without traffic it should take about thirty-five to forty minutes to Arlanda.

wripro Posted March 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2014 You're welcome, dusababy. Stockholm is a wonderful city. Make sure you're on deck while you sail in to see the hundred of islands surrounding the city.

Village.ins Posted March 4, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2014 Wonderful city, funny also the last time on SS Cloud. Did an over night at the Grand Hotel, looked out the window and Cloud was just a block away. We walked to the Cloud from the Hotel.

north-bound Posted March 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Without traffic it should take about thirty-five to forty minutes to Arlanda. "Without traffic" does not happen very often here in Stockholm now. The traffic has turned rather bad during the last years, a lot of road construction going on during the summer months that can seriously disturb the traffic. It is true that how long it will take to Arlanda very much depends on the day of week, and the time. Which month is also important. But it also depends on which port, I have seen Whisper docked sometimes at Frihamnen, sometimes at Stadsgården. Should it be Stadsgården it will probably need more time than from Frihamnen. I would personally plan for more time than thirtyfive to forty minutes to go Arlanda. If the traffic is really bad it could easily be one hour or even more. Better safe than sorry -- thanks very much north-bound. All good points to consider -- I'll plan accordingly.
wripro Posted March 5, 2014 #11 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I always allow extra time to get to any airport no matter what city, It just makes sense nowadays.
Champlain Posted March 19, 2014 #12 Share Posted March 19, 2014 There is a fast and comfortable train from the central station to Arlanda that is both quicker and cheaper.
