Rdtbank Posted March 4, 2014 #28 Share Posted March 4, 2014 Great pictures! Keep them coming! Were those gift bags canvas? Are they strong or pretty weak? The ones I got on a Celebrity were thin and flimsy. If they are decent I won't have to bring my own. Just something to attach to it to make it mine. Is the shampoo and body wash nice or should I bring my own? Did anyone walk by your cabana or was it pretty private? Do they bring drinks to you there or do have to go get them? Is there a Vibe entry cost and a cabana charge or does the cabana cost include entry? Is the front of the cabana open so you can see the water without sitting up? Husband's questions - Do you know if they have slot tournaments open to anyone? Were the slot machines pretty tight? You've been awesome about answering questions. Thanks again! I actually like this bags more then the one I got on BA. Since we were in a spa balcony room, we had all elemis product in the bathroom. Very good quality. Shampoo, conditioner, body gel and body lotion. Soap and shower cap. When in the cabana, it's very private. No one can see you, unless they come by the door. We only had one bartender come by during the day, to ask if we need anything, or bring us cold towels or some fruits or cookies. You only pay once for the cabana, then use your room key to get inside. I didn't even had to wear my bracelet. They know who's in the cabana or in the vibe after first day. And yes the front of the cabana is glass, and you see everything upfront of you in your own privacy. Casino was super busy. They do have slot turnaments during the day and anyone can participate. But it was pretty tight.

Rdtbank Posted March 4, 2014 #31 Share Posted March 4, 2014 Believe it or not I have more questions. :) What are the hours of the Vibe Club? Is the bar open the whole time the club is open? Is there food available there besides the fruit? Can you get drinks there on the UBP? Did you get the UDP? Did you think it was worth it? Thanks again, Margo Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Odesitka70 Posted March 4, 2014 Author #32 Share Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) I think vibe is open from 8:00 am till 11:00 pm. If you have ubp you can use it anywhere on the ship. We didn't get it. I don't drink, and my dh drinks wine. So he had wine package, plus we got free drinks card from the casino. It was more then enough for us. Odesitka70 Posted March 4, 2014 Author #33 Share Posted March 4, 2014 We didn't get udp eather, it wasn't worth it for us. We had 2 diners from casino, each with a bottle of wine. And the rest of the specialty restaurants we use, still came out chipper than buying udp. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

my2grls98 Posted March 6, 2014 #38 Share Posted March 6, 2014 Hello, my name is Julie, and I'm addicted to tote bags ...are those tote bags available for sale? Or you only get them in special suite/cabana's? We have a balcony room, so I doubt our room comes with one. But I would love to be able to purchase one! We sale April 5th Thanks. It's defintely more of a vacation when traveling without the kids. We decided last minute to book the April 12th sailing with our 4 kids!! I see you have posted photos of the kids pool. Is there an adult pool or another pool you have a photo of? Just curious. I had read a review there were no pools and I didn't even think to check. Thanks! In my opinion ncl offers one of the best kids programs (never done Disney), so take advantage of kids club. And yes there is a pool for 18 and over. It can get crowded. I'll try to post picture of the pool later.

cls711 Posted March 7, 2014 #49 Share Posted March 7, 2014 Everyone was supposed to be back by 3:30. You know how they always tell you to make sure to be back on time or the ship will leave without you. Well, in all our years of sailing for the first time ever we actually saw this happen. Between 3:45 and 4:00 there were 5 announcements made for a couple to check in with customer service. At exactly 4:01 the horn made its signal and we started to pull away. At that same time we saw 2 people desperately trying to get passed port security and screaming "our ship is leaving". But guess what, the Captain did not care and we just left them there to hopefully catch up to us at the next port. Good lesson for everyone to always be back on time. They WILL NOT wait. As bad as we felt for those folks, I have to admit, it was great entertainment. . Hi Odesitka, we were on your sailing as well, also had cabana in Vibe and also sailing due to invite for slot tourney,,,,so I'm sure we ran into each other a time or 2! We also had Sean as our Vibe bartender on Breakaway....he's the best! We were happy to see him on the Getaway. As for the couple left in St, Thomas, we later learned that the pilot boat brought them out to the ship when they picked up the pilot. What I want to know is did they incur any charges for that? Seems reasonable to think so. Also a great lesson in always having your passports and credit card with you when you go ashore!:)
