RCCI and FOD parties?

We are sailing on the Grandeur of the Sea, 9 night'er out of Balt. on 09/02/2005. We already have made contact with a few other guys from these boards. We would like to have a Freinds of Dorothy party but not sure if RCCI will do them. This is our first time on RCCI. Over the past few years we have been on Norwegian, HAL and Celebrity and all have had FOD parties when we asked.

 

Anyone had a FOD party on RCCI? If was who did you set it up through?

 

If anyone want to join in on this sailing, there is still lots of space and the price if you are 55 or over is only $599.00 and only one in the cabin needs to be 55 plus. Even if no one is 55 or over the rate is still a bargain at $699 becuase this is for 9 nights. Sailing out of Balt. help with the air cost too. We are driving down from Philly, less than two hours.

We asked through the customer service of the web-site and were told no...twice.

 

Once onboard the Navigator in April, we left a note for the Cruise Director/Activities Director at the Purser's desk, asking if he would schedule one. He did better than that; he scheduled four. We thanked him later int he week and he said that he doesn't know why they don't do them as a company but he's happy to keep all of his guests happy.
