sirenitas Posted March 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Newbie here ;) with a price drop question - If I booked ES and was given free upgrades (was given a 4F category) when there is a price drop do I have to look at the drop for the 4F category specifically or any interior cabin drop? I ask because I saw a slight drop in price for my booking about a week ago. When I called the Carnival agent who booked it for me she said it was not for my category. If I have to look for my specific category, how do I do that? The one time I saw the price drop (on the Carnival site) it did not say anything other than it was an interior cabin - it did not give me a specific category. paul929207 Posted March 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2014 You need to compare the price for your current cabin to what you paid
Sue Do-Over Posted March 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2014 First, look at the deck plans and find your cabin. All the cabins the same color (pink, gray, purple) as yours are in the same category. Then, start a fresh (mock) booking, as if you're a new customer ... look for available cabins right next to yours or in the same color category. If there are *available* cabins in the same category, you'll qualify. Make note of the time and date that you find a lower price, and even identify the similar cabin by number to help the adjustment staff confirm that the lower price was actually offered on an equal cabin. The online form is simple. Provide basic info clearly: Reservation XYZ123, cabin 9999 Booked at $499pp on 1/1/2014, Early Saver Adjacent cabin 9996 is listed at $449 on 3/15/2014 at 3pm on Carnival.com Please apply $50 price adjustment as OBC
