CarnivalPlatCruiser Posted March 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2014 SO I haven't been on a truly 100% upgraded 2.0 ship yet. I have noticed that the other ships have done away with the small fresh sushi bar and things that now I see are an upcharge on the 2.0 ships... (like the Sushi restaurant on the Sunshine). My question is, I like Sushi, should I now plan on spending a fortune on it when I go in the Sunshine in 4 weeks? Or for the other "nominal chatge" upgraded? Apps were $3 $2 soup $4 calif roll and the tuna, a combo for 2 is$15, the most expensive thing they had. This was on the Legend and it was good
LandlockedCruiser01 Posted March 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2014 Supposedly, sushi is available in the lido buffet during dinner. But "supposedly" is the key word here. I kept looking for it on my Sensation cruise, and never found it. The only guaranteed place to get sushi without paying extra is in the MDR, as an appetizer on one night only. I agree. The sushi at the inclusive sushi bar was whatever two items they were serving that evening, and it was usually terrible. No great loss. HappyAboard Posted March 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2014 It seemed like very few people ate at the sushi place on the Breeze during our cruise. The waitresses always seemed to be standing around hoping to welcome someone to come and eat every time I walked by.
Casco Bay Kid Posted March 20, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 20, 2014 Better prices than what other cruise lines charge. Sent from my HTC One mini using Forums mobile app
vwrestler171 Posted March 20, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 20, 2014 They replaced the free sushi with the Taste Bar. There really isn't any more upcharges in 2.0 as opposed to pre 2.
bjd2 Posted March 20, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 20, 2014 The taste bar had sushi one night on the Breeze. The Bonsai restaurant had way better sushi than was ever in the free area on past sailings. Looking forward to more next week on the Sunshine! We really enjoy all of the 2.0 upgrades.
