credit card payment surcharges

Recommended Posts

Hi

We are due to pay the balance on our trip. If we pay by credit card, will RCI charge a credit card fee (we live in the UK)

Thanks

The only charges Should be the change of currency from pounds to dollars. Unless you booked originally in pounds in the first place, which case should not be a surcharge.

Now other charges like wine packages etc would be charged the currency change.

If you booked with RCI UK then no surcharge, even for wine packages, shore excursions, or gifts & gear purchased in advance online there is no credit card surcharge and everything should be debited in GBP as this is the currency you made your booking in with using RCI UK. Example, a few weeks ago a shore excursion was listed as £31 pp, yesterday only £30 and that's what I've paid and been debited. Change due to change in USD exchange rate to GBP.
