Portable phones in Dawn Penthouse suites?

Does anyone know if the Penthouse suites on the Dawn are equipped with the portable phones? I searched the forum but can't find this specific information. This is our first time in a Penthouse, and previously our friends were in a Family 2-bedroom suites and had the portable phones.

 

Also, do these phones allow you to call others with the same phone from their suite? We have four couples all staying in the SE suites and wondering if this is a way we can communicate with each other onboard.

The wireless phone in the DOS worked all over the ship. If you're in the stateroom, you'd enter your room number (or common extension number) and the wireless rings and vice versa.

 

ETA: On Epic, the phone didn't hold the charge for more than an hour, then the butler brought a freshly charged replacement battery.

I thought they were only in the GV, DOS and OS? If you have them they work the same as a room phone, dial the room number and the phone rings.

On the Jewel in October we had the GV and 3 of the Haven 2 Bedroom Suites and they all had them. It was great being able to contact each other anywhere on the ship.

13.) All suites (except the SG and SJ suites on Deck 12 of the Star) have a portable phone which can be used throughout the ship.

 

There might be some other exceptions like those reported on Spirit, but only time we haven't had a cordless phone in our suite was the SJ suite on Star.

 

Cordless phones use the same cordless network and stations that the crew phones use so they do work around the ship. It is also possible to call the cordless phone from the wired phone in the cabin (can't remember if the direct number worked directly from the same extension or did it need the number taped on the cordless phone itself). Cordless phones are very handy for keeping in touch with others in suites too.

We had one in the SD, Family Suite with Balcony, but not in the SF, Aft Penthouse. We were able to call the room from the phone or vice versa.
