mommykim Posted March 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Can someone please tell me how the cruise points are done for solo travelers? It makes zero sense to me based on the last few cruises I have done. is it the same on all ships?

It makes zero sense to me based on the last few cruises I have done. is it the same on all ships? It just started a few months ago...if you are in a regular cabin, and let's say your cruise is 7 days, you will get 14 days. However, some of the ships now have single occupancy cabins with no supplement, and you will not get extra days on those. Suites may give higher days for a solo, but on that I'm not 100% sure. The RCI thread would be a better place to ask on that. If you have sailed in the last couple of months, and did not get double credit, call RCI. Several solo cruisers have slipped through the cracks. 138east Posted March 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Kim, Call C&A. You should have been credited 42 points for the Navigator. Any other cruise you've taken where you were not booked in a solo SI cabin should have been double as well. I'm skeptical about some of the pricing on the SI cabins. I've booked two repos on the Serenade and in both cases the SI cabins are more than booking a regular interior and paying 200%! Hmmmmm. Pay less money, get a much bigger cabin, and double points - a no brainer for me. Hi Barb!

It was $403 for the solo and if I paid the 200% it would have been over $1100. They are not bad cabins. I will have to call C&A as they got the points wrong on the TA. I ended up with a total of 28 points.

Since last October, if you sail in a double occupancy balcony or interior stateroom (there are exceptions) you will get double points for each night of sailing. If you sail in a JS or above you will get triple points. Sailing in an SI will only earn you one point per night. This is also true for the new Quantum class SB cabins. Wish I could go with you and Casino Joan again, but am stuck here in Georgia, lol Hi Kim & barbyj! Wish I could go with you guys and Casino Joan again, too! I had to call RCI after our trip on Navigator last year to get the double points. I'm wondering if one goes as a solo in a suite and pays the supplement (or thereabouts), do you get 3 points per night? (Since I can only cruise once or twice a year anyway, I don't mind a splurge.) cruisevv Posted May 10, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 10, 2015 Thanks to this thread I just got my nights doubled on RCI. Do I also get the double nightly points for Carnival?
